Ancient Greek Alphabet and Mycenaean Writing Script Activity

If your students are learning about Ancient Greece, it’s always fun to try an ancient form of writing. This printable pack comes with two activities - one for Mycenaean logograms and one for the ancient Greek alphabet.

In activity one (Mycenaean), students can:

• Write the script next to the symbols, in the boxes given, or on their own paper.
• Copy over the symbols.
• Decode words in a short story.

In activity two (ancient Greek alphabet), students can:

• Write their name and decode four Greek inventions.
• OR
• Write their name and decode four Greek creatures.
