In 2007 Stonewall was commissioned by the Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF) to write guidance on how to prevent and tackle homophobic bullying in schools. This resource provides school governors, heads, teachers and other school staff with practical information such as how to challenge homophobic language, how to respond to physical bullying, how to work with bullies and how to respond to a young person coming out.
