This is the 5th lesson in the AQA A GCSE thematic unit of work for ‘Crime and Punishment’ and it is focused on the Christian and Muslim attitudes to suffering and forgiveness. This appears as separate lessons on the specification and in the text book but it felt appropriate to combine them in this case.
The lesson has been fully resourced to a high standard with a range of differentiated tasks (using the good, better, ASPIRE system). The lesson is designed to challenge the students as well as make them familiar with new concepts, knowledge and how to apply their learning to the exam.
