This is a resource which introduces the Special Relationship in the period 1951-64. It looks at the events which caused tension during this period, Burgess and Maclean Scandal, the issue of the nuclear deterrent, the Korean War and the Suez Crisis. There is an introduction to the Special Relationship and four hyperlinks are included on each of the events. Students are asked to analyse the impact of each of the events on the Special Relationship. A set of notes is also included.
