There is an introduction to Margaret Thatcher and her style of leadership and also a source analysis. Students are given the opportunity to explore different images of Thatcher and there are also hyperlinked video clips.
Students are given a task to explain Thatcher’s leadership and ideology. There is also a homework task to research Thatcher’s key influential ministers.

This is the first three lessons which cover the AQA Modern Britain syllbabus, the impact of Thatcherism. There is an introduction to Thatcher as a leader which deals with ideology and the second lesson explores why Thatcher was victorious in the 1983 and 1987 elections. The third lesson examines why Thatcher was successful by analyising the divided opposition. There are printed notes with each lesson and hyperlinked clips throughout.
