This is a lesson which covers Industrial relations under Harold Wilson. There is a powerpoint included which looks at the role of a trade union and why they are important.
A short video clip is included as an introduction to the strikes which began during this period. Students are then given a short task to complete to help them to understand why industrial relations deteriorated during this period.
Students will need to have access to the Sally Waller AQA textbook in order to complete the remaining tasks.
There is also an evaluation of the document ‘In place of strife’
A set of notes is also included together with material from ‘In place of strife’
