This is a complete lesson which looks at the issues for the Labour government caused by the divisisions within the party. The lesson begins when Labour won the 1966 election and why there were divisions in the party at this point.
The lesson looks at the Labour defeat in the 1970 election and how/why the divisions contributed to this.
The lesson concludes with the planning of an essay based on the reasons why Labour lost the 1970 election.
There is a powerpoint included with a short video clip on the 1966 election together with two sets of notes; one on Labour divisions and one on the 1970 election. There is also a planning sheet to help with the essay.
