This is a model essay with key vocabulary removed and placed in a word bank so that students must actively read the essay and complete the gap fill. This will encourage them to retain the information and provide them with an example of a model essay. This includes an extension activity that requires students to study the essay on a deeper level and annotate/highlight where they find examples of the skills of evaluation, analysis etc. Could be effectively used as consolidation after studying the topic, or as revision. Teacher answers provided!
