Area & perimeter of quadrilaterals and triangles
A colourful smartboard showing how to get areas of a parrallolgram, trapezium, and 2 triangles. Done by cutting and fitting them into rectangles then using the area of rectangles to relate to back to the areas of the shapes. The smartboard shapes move to allow you to show how this can be done to check answers or give support. The following recap smartboard reinforces this by asking pupils to find areas of those shapes. Answers given on smartboard. Can be done over 2 lessons.
