Introduce your students to Argentina with 2 printable worksheets (plus an answer key). Your students will read a brief overview of Argentina (location, capital, flag, language), write 'Buenos Aires' next to the star on the map to show the capital of Argentina, color the small map and flag, and use the map and compass to answer 7 questions. Colored pencils and a pen or pencil are needed for this activity. No other prep needed.
This activity is usually done in class but can also be assigned as homework. Students can collect all completed countries of South America to review South America as a whole when complete.
For use with Interactive Notebooks: After the handout is completed and the map and flag are colored and questions are answered, cut out the map, flag and compass and paste into the notebook under the topic of South America / Sub-topic Argentina. Under the map, students will write a summary in their own words of what they now know about Argentina.
key words: Spanish, cardinal, ordinal, directions.
