This lesson covers Passive, Assertive and Aggressive styles of communication,
ideas for gaining Confidence as well as the use of I statements to clearly communicate your message. Your students will enjoy the interactive lessons and the opportunity to practice their communication skills using real life scenarios.

The Resource contains a PowerPoint presentation and a student workbook. It is provided in ppt, pdf and word format so that it can be edited if necessary to suit your audience.

It will assist your learners in identifying behavior traits that could be creating barriers to effective communication both in the workplace and the classroom.

The interactive PowerPoint presentation contains activities for learners to practice their communication skills.

The 10 page workbook looks at different forms of communication and their application in the workforce. It is an interactive lesson that looks at passive, aggressive, assertive and indirect behaviors. There is opportunity for pair work and group work activities and discussion that explores the best way to handle situations.

I have used this with small groups of learners and it has been very well received. The session concludes with students carrying out roleplay activities.
