Basic Shapes - EYFS
In this teaching resource pupils are introduced to basic shapes (circles, squares, triangles and rectangles) as per the curriculum objectives of EYFS Statutory Framework - Mathematics (Shape, space and measures). Pupils are taught the names of these shapes and begin to describe them by identifying the number of sides each shape has. Content includes:
- A description of each shape and where we find them in everyday objects
- Identifying shapes activity
- A link to a shape video
- 3 worksheets with answers
