An online lesson which introduces the work of an African artist, and encourages students to analyse visual language, and consider approaches to making art before they create something themselves!

Easy-to-follow tasks guide students through their initial reactions to the artworks, before looking at them more closely. They will practice ‘reading’ for meaning, making inferences through formal and contextual analysis. They will also discover the artist’s intentions to help them understand further hidden meanings, and appreciate the cultural and historical importance of the work.
