In this bundle, our fifth book Ellie Gets Her Just Desserts, promotes our fifth message in our growth mindset series.
Ellie is a flighty bod and when picked as part of a team to represent her school, vanity takes over and she lets her team down. Fortunately her classmates are forgiving when the realisation dawns on her that she has not learnt from her mistakes and she has made a fool of herself. We pride ourselves on a fun story, rich in language, with an important message to convey. This story can also be used for PSHE, moral values and assemblies.
The Bloom’s resource pack contains a PowerPoint and printable worksheets. The first part of this resource uses high-order thinking skills question techniques, based on Bloom’s Taxonomy of Learning. The questions relate to different sections of the story and are asked in the chronological sequence. Following the questions is a task, which requires pupils to make up their own set of questions about the story, using a given template.
The second part of this pack has an information leaflet for pupils to complete about the story, which is ideal for classroom display. There are two versions, one coloured and one black and white.
