Build a Model Rocket
This document provides instructions for building simple model rockets from common materials. The rockets are typically launched with an A8-3 rocket engine and typically fly to around 300ft. The use of nosecone weight and aerodynamic principles create a tumble recovery system, allowing the rocket to land gently on the ground . These simple rockets have been used in a middle school classroom for several years without issue. However, as with all rocketry, all work should be supervised by an adult and all participants should adhere the NAR Model Rocket Safety Code or similar safety standards. (www.nar.org/safety-information/model-rocket-safety-code)
