Complex sentences
An interactive resource for use when teaching about main and subordinate clauses. I used a train analogy; a sentence needs a main clause to 'work&'; just like a train needs an engine. You can then add extra carriages - or clauses - by using conjunctions, but the carriages don&';t make sense on their own, just as a train carriage can't move without an engine. I used this in an observed lesson for an interview and got the job!
