Creative writing, ‘Wish you were here’ with picture stimulus and collaborative word bank.

Here is a ready to go printable resource to help get students thinking creatively about imaginative travel writing. There are six destinations to write a postcard from, each with a word bank and sentence starters. There is a simple three point success criteria so that the students can self assess their work. Meant for literacy interventions or as a starter activity for a more involved lesson on travel writing or creative writing. Much needed in these times of staycations and global lockdowns to allow students to expand their thinking once again.

Aimed at KS2 or could be used for lower ability writers at KS3 secondary as well.
