Design a Uniform Project - fun + - x ÷ practice
This is a great project for the end of the year! It involves plenty of + - x ÷ practise, real life problems, and fractions of amounts. Students design their own uniform, and then have to work out the cost of their uniform in different shops. They also have to scale amounts for different year groups, and find sale discounts. They have a self assessment checklist which guides them through each task. The presentation also introduces each part of the task, and provides extra questions and examples of methods. My L4-5 Y7 and Y8 groups loved this project! It takes approximately 5 lessons to complete.
