This resource tells the story of Dido, who was the mixed race, illegitimate daughter of an English Naval Captain. She was adopted by aristocratic relations, grew up within this wealthy and privileged family, was well-educated and part of the cream of English society. This resource has comprehension and discussion questions for pupils to explore their understanding. There is also a suggested writing task for pupils to extend their comprehension skills and to practise creative writing. This resource contains two sheets, one for early stage readers and one for more advanced readers.
