Profound ethical questions can arise as a result of scientific advance. The events described herewith provide an excellent resource for educational morality debates in schools as well as for those studying psychology.
These very short stories are currently science fiction, but the events described within them could well become science fact within the next 100 years and hence the lifetime of many who are alive today. The stories are therefore particularly relevant to those in their formative years.
Each story has at least one unexpected twist and all of them raise profound ethical questions for which there are no easy answers. Questions are raised at the end of each of the six stories, seeking to determine how we should handle the problems that have been raised and hopefully engendering debate between people of all generations.
Engaging in discussion about difficult problems that will arise as a result of the advancement of science will demonstrate a way in which society can reach a consensus on future dilemmas.
Have fun getting involved.
