Sensory inputs for David Walliams – The world’s worst teachers (hardback version) – Dr Dread and the chair of a thousand farts. This resource suggests sensory inputs for the story but does not include the story.

I have used this story with a class of 8 Year 12 SLD / complex needs students and they loved it because it is disgusting! I find that sensory stories help ASD and ADHD students focus on the story and help SLD / MLD students to remember and understand parts of the story. For further information on how to use sensory stories look at Joanna Grace’s website (http://www.thesensoryprojects.co.uk/ ) and book, £19.99 (https://www.waterstones.com/book/sensory-stories-for-children-and-teens-with-special-educational-needs/joanna-grace//9781849054843?awaid=3787&utm_source=redbrain&utm_medium=shopping&utm_campaign=css&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI5fH0moe96QIVkO7tCh3kuggYEAkYAyABEgI5ivD_BwE&awc=3787_1589792683_134bbbf381fd8d46a382e3d91d5a4c5e)

This is an exhaustive list (shopping list at end), please do not think that you have to provide all of these sensory inputs – use as inspiration! You will find that some items are used throughout this story and that many items will be used again for other stories.

Please leave me a review- so I know what to do better next time!
