This lesson is aimed mainly at Edexcel, but can be adapted for other courses.
Access to the course textbook is recommended.
Starter is deciphering pictograms to recap the religious developments that identified Religious non-conformity after the Restoration, answers are on the slides.
Pupils are then introduced to the idea of the Scientific Revolution, and a student made video about what it is. Then source analysis about the changes that will/did happen in the Scientific Revolution.
Pupils are then given a basic handout of the next few slides, and the teacher explains the actual scientific changes that occurred during this time (if you are unfamiliar with them, you may want to look them up in a little more detail before teaching this lesson).
Pupils then have a missing word sheet about the Royal Society, before watching a video about the Royal Society.
Pupils then summarise and discuss the impact of the Scientific Revolution.
