New specification Eduqas RS Issues of Human Rights topic 4 in Component 1. Lesson 3 is on Christian practices to promote human rights, including: how Christians might promote human rights, what in the Bible might influence them to do this, case study of 'Agape in Action' as the specification requires and an exam question. NB - this lesson asks students to use iPads/computers to research this charity. If these are unavailable the information from the website is included in the 'contingency work booklet' and can be printed instead. This full lesson includes: PowerPoint with learning objectives and differentiated learning outcomes (for the new 1-9 grading based on the mark scheme), tasks and challenge tasks, exam question and peer-/self-assessment; information sheets; homework (Judaism Practices recap) and a contingency sheet (basically the whole lesson in booklet form, useful for absent students, students removed from the lesson or cover lessons). NB - Planned for a 75 minute lesson so you may need to adapt for your school's lesson length.
