This lesson explores the role of Eisenhower and Kennedy in Vietnam. It looks at the difference in strategies by the two presidents and several activities for students are included - they are asked to sort statements and to reach a verdict as to who was the most successful president in Vietnam. A hyperlinked video clip is also included together with a timeline homework activity. Students are asked to plot the increasing level of US involvement during the presidencies of Eisenhower and Kennedy. The lesson is based on the AQA syllabus but can be adapted for other schemes.
