Empathy Week is building the ‘Empathy Generation’. A global schools programme using the power of film to develop the skills of empathy and leadership in every student. Each year we produce 5 powerful films paired with fully differentiated and flexible lesson resources these vital social, emotional and life skills. As a whole-school approach, every student has the opportunity and is given the agency to change their world.

Having engaged 100,000 students in just two years and across 6 continents and 40+ countries - this is the programme that can create a lasting effect on your students and teachers of your school.

Empathy Week works with experienced empathy psychologists and scientists as well as a team that has experience inside the classroom and out. Allowing us to create a framework within the lessons that truly develops the skill of empathy.

After the week students have the option to take part in a 5-6 week Empathy Action Project where they can work to tackle social issues on a local or global basis. The best projects can be submitted to be awarded the Global Empathy Award which takes place in June 2022 - confirmed judges for this event include - Gavin Dykes - Director World Education Forum and Ger Graus, Global Education Director for Kidzania.

In 2022 Empathy Week is focusing on the theme of ‘Passion and Purpose’ with 5 amazing humans and their stories which touch on social themes that include but are not limited to bullying, mental health, Downs Syndrome, chasing your dream, immigration, self-belief, resilience, homelessness, being different, diversity, leadership, being a role model and more.
