Using an extract that shows when Bilbo enters Smaug’s chamber and steals the cup, the booklet explores new vocabulary. It also practices key Year 6 SATs skills with find and copy questions, and also retrieval and inference questions based upon SATs question stems. Trialled with 50 Year 6 intervention students very successfully.
