Chomsky’s and Herman’s groundbreaking book analysed how news, politics and the media work together to manipulate public opinion. In an age where ‘fake news’ has become such a hot topic, this lesson will elicit some wonderful discussion with your upper intermediate learners. Aside from a listening practice exercise and discussion, students will complete exercises to help them learn from new vocabulary from context.
