KS2 History - Evacuees Poetry Task Activity
This activity sheet provides a guide for a poetry task. Led by an information text on evacuation in World War Two, pupils are tasked with writing a poem in the first-person in the character of a child waiting at the station on their way to their temporary rural home. There are a range of question prompts to help pupils structure and develop their poem. This is a great activity to encourage pupils to engage with the topic on a deeper level, as a well as practise their creative writing skills.
