Felix vs Felix: A team activity lesson on falling
This resource is a two-part team-based lesson on the physics of falling and freefall, making use of some excellent youtube videos of Felix Baumgartner, a NY cat falling from a tall building (James May's Things you Need to Know) and a skydiver (with force arrows!) They research, make posters and present. Could be extended for KS4/5. Each pupil has their own differentiated role, fact pack and questions to answer. Good teamwork earns more facts! Includes specialist quizzes for 'training', and homework sheet. Teams compete for the best presentation, Felix B or Felix the cat.
