An extremely well scaffolded resource. I particularly like how the children are given plenty of opportunities to work out half of a number before moving on to quarters. The steps are really clear. Thank you for sharing this great resource. My TA will love this!
Maths worksheet designed to support the idea of finding 1/4 in 3 different ways, relating it back to the 4x table by using the division facts. Colour 1/4 section is useful for showing that a quarter of a shape can be more than one 'piece'. Also using estimating, and halving (halve first, then find quarter).

Simple picture reveal using 3 pictures from Jeannie Baker's book Window.
Students can select a number to reveal - then identify which physical and human features they can see. By the 3rd picture the view has changed due to urbanization.
Below are word documents with the new Curriculum 2014 objectives for each year group in the primary phase. I thought of using them by RAG rating children's understanding of the objectives featured. Use each year group objective sheet to suit the individual needs of groups of children in your class.
There are 4 sets of questions (Number, Algebra, Shape, Data) which are mainly A and A* (with some lower grade questions from topics which students struggle with, e.g. percentages, constructions). PLEASE REVIEW / COMMENT. Students work in pairs or small groups to answer the questions. When they finish a question they get it marked and if it is correct they are given cash to the value of the question. There are bank notes which you can put your school name and pictures of your teachers on. The team with the most money at the end could be given a prize.
