Activity/game designed to help students explore nutritional information of common foods and using food label formats.

To play:

  1. shuffle and deal.
  2. Player hold cards so only they can see their top card.
  3. First player picks a category from the top card (e.g. Energy, 1023kJ)
  4. Other players read out the value from the same category on their cards.
  5. The one with the highest value (or best if you’re looking at healthy diets) wins
  6. That player takes all the cards just used, and puts them with their own at the bottom of their pile.
  7. The winning player then reads out the value from a category on their next card.

Categories include:
Energy kJ
Energy kcal
Fat
- of which saturates
Carbohydrate
Sugars
Fibre
Protein
Salt

good clear cards, can be printed double sided with nice pic of fruit and veg on back. cards will be 4 to an A4 page (24 cards) . Have not used them yet but they are ready to go. Had to research how to play Top Trumps elsewhere though and found some other activities to do with them. Pleased with first purchase.
