We are at this time of year where we want to do something different and fun with our classes.
I have just made this lesson about Henri Rousseau as some kind of French Cultural Awareness for my KS3 classes.
The lesson starts as some kind of classroom museum. Students have a questionnaire about Henri Rousseau and have to answer questions about his life.
Then, they will observe 6 of his paintings and there will be 2 activities regarding his works.
Finally, they will have to make their own jungle in the style of Henri Rousseau.
I would say this could take 2 or even 3 lessons depending on your students.
