French Story – totally original for KS2 & KS3 pupils – ‘Les Lambs Apprennent Une Leçon Importante’.

This is a totally original story for KS2 or KS3 pupils and is fully illustrated. ‘Les Lambs Apprennent Une Leçon Importante,’ is a spin off of our English story ‘The Lambs Learn Their Lesson.’ The two main characters in the story are twins, Chris and Kris. Their jealousy and lies backfire and they eventually realise that friendship is much more important than deception.
Pupils will love our fun-filled characters (known as bodz) in our colourful land full of intrigue and adventure; know as The World of Whyse (Le Monde De Whyse).
This latest linguistic approach through story telling immerses pupils into the language, which helps to learn words and phrases by amalgamating them with characters and illustration in our imaginary world. As every word and every phrase appears in context, pupils will pick up on the grammar without reflecting on the rules, just as they did when learning their mother tongue. In fact over time, pupils will simply get used to how grammar works. Stories are a universal way of teaching pupils in their native language and are equally effective when learning a new one.
There are huge advantages to using this method for language learning. It is motivational, builds confidence, and improves literacy skills. Furthermore all of our stories come with powerful moral messages and values and instil important lessons for learning.
This is not only an important language-learning tool, but also covers areas of the wider curriculum such as PSHE, growth mindset, citizenship, ethics, assembly messages and mindfulness.
