FRENCH TELLING TIME GAMES PERFECT FOR PRACTISING HOW TO TELL THE TIME IN FRENCH - 2 GAMES, 2 CHALLENGES -
FOCUS ON 20 AND 25 PAST / 25 AND 20 TO THE HOUR
FOLLOW ME I HAVE, WHO HAS? is a great language learning game. The repetitive nature of the questions and answers, supported by the visual prompt of the clock faces, makes it perfect for practising, reinforcing and refreshing how to TELL THE TIME IN FRENCH!
It’s a whole-group communicative game, with a multi-skill focus on speaking, listening, reading, vocabulary-building and developing accurate pronunciation. The game really does help to create a lively language learning environment, and is a great alternative to more traditional ‘drilling’ activities.
This set features analogue clock times, 1-12, with 20 and 25 past / 25 and 20 to the hour. There are two games, each with a different challenge:
CHILLOUT CHALLENGE with the clock times in numerical order
CHAMPION CHALLENGE with the clock times in topsy-turvy order - this really does encourage your students to focus on their FRENCH clock times!
When they have created their time lines, preferably using a timer for a little competitive edge, have them read the times out in their best FRENCH accent for some additional reinforcement and pronunciation practice!

My Yr7s are going to love this. A mixed ability group but so motivated- I like that there are differentiated games so I can use the chillout game that all pupils can access then stretch and challenge high ability pupils witht the topsy turvey order. Great resource, thanks!
