A functional maths task that helps students develop the language to interpret and describe various graphs and charts. Students have to make up a credible story about a chart or graph. The task can be good fun and has inbuilt peer assessment, which doesn’t have to be used.
The main resource is a Smartboard file with pictures of the graphs/charts. Differentiation is inbuilt into the task through outcomes but there are also some extra slides to provide prompts and extra discussion points.
