Since we are all trying to get to grips with the new OCR English GCSE, I designed this resource as a revision guide for students taking the new OCR J352 Unit 2 Poetry exam.
Please note that this revision pack is primarily for the 'Youth and Age' part of the exam although there is a sample question each for Conflict and Love and Relationships.
It includes the assessment criteria for the poetry question, a step-by-step guide to comparing two unseen poems and also sample questions which I have created for each of the OCR categories (love and relationships, conflict, youth and age). There is also a revision chart on Microsoft Excel that students can fill in (the poems listed are from the 'Youth and Age' section of the anthology but it would only take a couple of minutes to substitute them for the 'Love and Relationships' or 'Conflict' sections). There are six sample questions for the 'Youth and Age' category (twelve poems) and one sample question for each of the other categories.
This is an invaluable resource which you can print off for your students. They have been tried and tested by my own!
