Set max radius size and then click on any of the four boxes - pupils must write down the other three values (I usually give them mini whiteboards) ... click on the boxes to see the solutions. This allows practice of calculating/estimating area and circumference if you know the radius or diameter or vice versa.

This is a useful resource to use as described with mini whiteboards as a starter or plenary or even a main activity to consolidate. Students are asked to calculate the area, radius, diameter and circumference by revealing just one of these quantities. You can use this at many levels, calculating area and circumference, or working backwards from the area or circumference to calculate the radius. The only downside is that the radius has to be a whole number between 1 and 10 which does limit the scope of this activity. Thank you for sharing.
