Ideal as a thinking skills starter/plenary/game or for extension activities, quizzes, inter-house competition, as well as homework.
Designed for able students OR with the aid of a dictionary.

This activity is designed to help students revise vocabulary and strengthen their reading comprehension. Some descriptions have an image (all of the copy-right free) or a sentence as an example to aid by giving the context of the word.

Each page includes 4 items (5 pages in total) that need to be cut out. Each mini-jigsaw includes 3 pieces, the longest being placed at the top.

Cards can be distributed as one big pack of 20 pairs or teachers can choose to give only 1 page at a time, with 4 items each. It can also work by issuing a different page to each group of students, and as a class, students can rotate from table to table to see the final answers.
