Students are given a mystery box which symbolises their genetic information. They then complete research on the implications and ethics of genetic screening to decide whether they should open the box.

The idea is that you make your own chance cards depending on how many groups you have, half of these should be a reward and the other half a penalty. There are suggestions for what you can include in the lesson plan but these really depend on what best suits your class.
