This is a whole lesson on Mass, Density, and Volume. It builds on the first compound measures lesson demonstrating how the three measures are linked very clearly. In particular, the lesson is very clear about when different measures are used and how to convert between length, area, and volume. It uses the triangle memory aid throughout. This lesson is ready to go, with no prep required. It is also great for home learning and flip learning. 19-slide presentation + ORIGINAL VIDEO CONTENT + worksheet.

The lesson includes:

+ a fun starter looking at different densities
+ Learning Objectives
+ Keywords
+ superb teaching slides and plenty of excellent examples linked to the starter
+ a helpful TIP where a lot of mistakes are made
+ Mini-whiteboard (MWB) activity
+ FULL ORIGINAL VIDEO CONTENT (11 MINS)
+ Worksheet with answers embedded in the PPT
+ Helpsheet (to support students)
+ one of the questions in the worksheet with a detailed answer slide
+ a FUN & CHALLENGING plenary looking at much does a million dollars weigh?!

This is a good updated version which includes a worksheet, answers are available in powerpoint. Last screen shows how Mass can be defined in different ways. Would have liked UK money as well as US, perhaps the old £10 compared with the new £10 notes.
