I have adapted this vocabulary sheet to create vocabulary revision sheets for GCSE German topics, including the ‘Family and Relationships’ German GCSE topic.
This vocabulary revision activity combines the key vocabulary for the Family and Relationships topic in the AQA German GCSE syllabus and allows students to ‘make it stick’ by including multiple activities to practise the vocabulary. However, it can be used either A2/B1, intermediate or GCSE learners to introduce vocabulary for ‘Familie’ or ‘Beziehungen’ topics. ANSWER KEY INCLUDED.
There are six activities, including:
- German to English translation
- Fill in the gaps to complete the word for spelling practice
- Match the two halves of the phrase together
- Find the synonym or similar phrase
- English to German translation and categorise
- Use the vocabulary to create your own sentences
Use during the lesson to keep students occupied (dictionaries would be useful), or as homework. Ideal for distance learning as the answers are included!
