Goal Setting in Content Areas: Problem Solving, Presentations, and Other Projects
The Goal Setting in the Content Areas package supports students with their goal setting in math, science, health, and social studies. This package contains posters, assessments, and a student booklet to help your students set and achieve their content area goals.

Included in this package of materials are:

posters that outline possible goal behaviours in the different arts ed areas,
peer assessments,
teacher assessments, and
student booklets where students can record their thinking and ideas for each stage of the goal setting process. Different options are provided for the student booklet so you can tailor it to the needs of each student.

All materials are provided in both color and black an white.

Goal setting is an important skill for students to learn. Throughout our daily lives, we strive to improve through the goals we set. In the content areas, students can learn about the goal setting process as they problem solve, give presentations, and create other projects. There are seven steps to the goal setting process:

1. Determine the Goal
2. Establish a Baseline
3. Describe Success
4. Focus on the Goal
5. Track Progress
6. Assess Achievement
7. Reflect on Goal
