An engaging lesson for GCSE students studying the AQA specification for the Health and the People topic.
This lesson enables students to develop their knowledge and understanding of the contributions made by both Islam and Christianity with regards to medicine and medical ideas. This allows students to compare these contributions and form a judgement on which religion contributed the most to medicine in the Middle Ages.
The lesson includes opportunities to check the progress of students as well as enabling them to apply their understanding through a piece of written work.
