This lesson is part of a SOW for AQA Health and the People. This lesson looks at the role and impact of Islamic medicine on medical progress. Students compare it with Europe during the middle ages and look at the 3 main islamic doctors, Rhaze, Abulcasis and Avicenna (Ibn Sina). The lesson has a GCSE styled question with a planning activity. There are challenge tasks to stretch the top end and writing frames and work sheets for the weaker students.
