This goes with the new specification AQA Historic Environment Elizabethan England Study.
Pupils start with a recap from the previous lesson, why was Mary a threat to Elizabeth, followed by a bit of information and a task focussing on consideration of Mary's actual guilt vs the presumed guilt. Pupils are asked to come up with any ideas of the impact the death warrant would have in general, before being given some answers and a short video link.
Pupils then make notes on Mary's beheading from a short video clip, and then consolidate with notes from the course textbooks (page numbers included in the powerpoint).
The lesson concludes with an exam question, including the markscheme and sentence starters.
