In consultation with our local authority's archaeological team we commissioned a professional illustrator to produce a report quality scale illustration of a replica Stone Age flint hand axe. A Photo of the hand axe is incorporated into the illustration, which can be used for wall display, or as a laminated reference sheet for pupils. We have successfully classroom tested this resource in our KS2 Prehistory workshops. Included are 5 large .jpeg images: 01 and 02 are of the featured artefact, and 03 - 05 are of a different replica artefact for pupils to practice illustrating, using the drawing conventions shown on the sheet.
