This covers unit 1: Anatomy and Physiology: 4.4. Long-term effects of exercise. You get the students worksheet, teachers worksheet with answers and powerpoint. Students can use books such as Cambridge IGCSE PE as well to answer the questions. Plus there are independent studies in the worksheet. Plus exam questions at the end. Please note that you may need to alter the powerpoint as I do my lessons on a mac. (Apologise for any grammar or spelling mistakes in advance, if you find some, as I am dyslexic)
Differentiated Learning Objectives
• All: Describe the process of hypertrophy and the effects this has on the body.
• Some: Explain the four processes of hypertrophy, bradycardia, stroke volume and tolerance to lactic acid.
• Most: Explain each of the four main effects of long term training and relate these to the benefits of long-term exercise.
