KS2 Literacy - Improving a verse worksheet
This worksheet has some simple lines from a poem about a sack race. Pupils are tasked with increasing the length of each line using powerful adjectives, nouns and verbs in order to paint a picture in the mind of the reader. There are some questions as prompts on the sheet to support pupils. This is a great worksheet for pupils to work on in pairs and discuss their thoughts. They can then go on to write their own improved version of the poem independently.
