Initial sound pairs game - R M D

Cut up the cards and laminate them. Shuffle the cards, and place face down the carpet. This game would be suitable for 1-4 players. In turns, the children turn over two cards. If the initial sounds of the cards match eg rabbit and red, they keep the cards. If they dont match eg mouse and dog, the cards are turned back over. The game continues until all the cards have gone and the winner is the player with the most cards at the end.
