A KS3 scheme of work for 6 lessons that incorporates skills for Desktop Publishing to create a information leaflet that educates parents or fellow students about the Internet, Cybercrime and Cybersecurity.

First three lessons are information and activities:

  1. How the internet works
  2. What is cybercrime - viruses, ddos and phishing
  3. What is social engineering - phishing, pharming, blagging and shouldering

Please note that lesson three uses a worksheet from CAS: http://community.computingatschool.org.uk/resources/4865/single

Last three lessons are for creating the leaflet, peer review and finishing up.

This can be used as a scaffold to work from or can be used as is.

Note: I am partly using TES to check the quality of my resources - I’d appreciate helpfully critical feedback as well as positive reviews.
